A Thanksgiving message from Dr. Larry Washington to the Washingtonville community

Dear Washingtonville families,

THANK YOU, on behalf of myself, the administration, faculty, and staff of Washingtonville Central School District, for your continued support as we work to make sure every Washingtonville Wizard receives the best possible learning experience. We are fortunate to be part of a community that puts so much value on the education of its children. I am grateful that this is a community made up of neighbors so willing to get involved with their schools in so many positive ways.

Every day brings new opportunities to make positive impacts on students’ lives, and for that we are grateful. Everyone in our district shares a goal of preparing each of our 3700-plus students to make the most of every meaningful opportunity that comes their way… and the next… and the next. Their dedication to doing everything they can to help our students be safe, healthy, and ready to learn and grow is something for which I am grateful, as I know you are.

As we kick off the holiday season with a couple of days off from school, I hope you get to enjoy some time of relaxation, reflection and gratitude with your family and loved ones. It was a wonderful fall in the district, and we look forward to welcoming our students back on the 28th to dive into the winter semester.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Dr. Larry Washington
Superintendent of Schools
