As directed by New York State, upon resuming remote instruction on Monday, Jan. 4, Washingtonville CSD submitted all reports of positive COVID-19 cases made known during the Winter Break. As reported to the state’s COVID-19 Report Card, positive-test data available for our schools from Dec. 24 through Jan. 3, is as follows:
- Little Britain: 1
- Taft: 3
- Middle School: 2
- High School: 3
All individuals who tested positive are in isolation and will not return to school until cleared by the Orange County Health Department. In circumstances that required school-based contact tracing, the affected individuals were notified over the break about the need to quarantine.
For the safety of all our community members, we appreciate everyone’s continued cooperation in following public health guidance. We look forward to returning to in-person instruction on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
