Washingtonville Central School District’s 2023-2024 school year $124,356,502 budget was approved by voters on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, by an official vote of 1,372 to 541.
Voters also considered a transportation proposition as part of the 10-year bus replacement plan which includes the purchase of nine, 72-passenger buses for $1,473,000. The proposition officially passed by a 1,227 to 681 vote.
Three Board of Education seats were open. Results are official. Robin White, an incumbent board member, received 1,449 votes and will serve a three-year term (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2026). Two other terms were filled by write-in candidates – Daniel Luedke received 1,211 votes and will serve one full three-year term (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2026) and Laurisa Sampson received 1,041 votes and will serve a one-year term beginning on May 17, 2023 and serve until June 30, 2024.
