On Thursday, April 21, the Washingtonville Central School District Board of Education adopted a $116,675,305 budget for the 2022-23 school year during a regular meeting. This represents a 1.8% increase in the tax levy, which falls within the tax levy cap.
This is the budget that will go before the WCSD community for approval on May 17. In addition to the 2022-23 school year budget, voters will select three Board of Education members to serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2022 and expiring June 30, 2025, from the following candidates (listed in the order they will appear on the ballot): William Hewlett, Jr., Kristie Johnson, James Overbey and Michael Lacroix.
Polls will be open on Tuesday, May 17, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the gymnasium at Washingtonville High School, 54 West Main Street, Washingtonville, NY.
