Winter fun in motion at Taft

Winter fun in motion at Taft

When winter weather rolls in, Taft Elementary School physical education classes don’t slow down – they head outdoors!

During PE, students in grades 1-5 have the opportunity to participate in seasonal activities like sledding and snowshoeing, when conditions allow.

Instructed by Physical Education Teachers Michelle Henn and Candice Mullady, the lessons focus not only on fun, but also on sledding safety, the importance of staying active during the colder months and building endurance as students get their heart rates up in the fresh air.

For many, it’s their first time trying these winter activities, making the experience even more exciting. Needless to say, students absolutely love it!
