Round Hill ENL teacher receives tenure at most recent BOE meeting

Round Hill English as a New Language (ENL) teacher Sasha Tenecela received tenure in elementary and ENL at the October 15 Board of Education meeting. Ms. Tenecela holds a professional certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 and an initial certification in English to speakers of Other Languages.

Ms. Tenecela worked at Washingtonville Middle School before she transferred to Round Hill, proudly serving our littlest learners over the past couple of years. Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Lynn Imperato praised Ms. Tenecela for her hard work and dedication to students, highlighting her efforts to meet the needs of all her students.

“Sasha is diligent, precise, reflective, and goes above and beyond to ensure she is meeting the individual needs of her students, and I have seen that in action,” Ms. Imperato said. “Every single student in her class is given full attention while she's managing the other 18, many of whom may not speak English as a first language. She is extremely adept at managing all of those different needs. One of the things we often talk about is the whole child and the whole community, and I will say that she also adds value to the building itself. So, it is with utmost joy that you are joining us now.”
